Within the past ten years:

  • Purchased a property for its permanent headquarters at 4 4 St. Clair Gardens, Ferry Gap, Roebuck Street, St.Michael. This property consists of a 4112 sq. ft. modern split level bungalow, on a land area of more than 56, 000 sq. ft.

  • Expanded its resource centre, which develops and disseminates information and educational material on child rearing, parenting, conflict resolution, health and family life issues. This service is delivered via the print and electronic media and through group lectures/discussions. Approximately 6,000 copies of educational materials are distributed to the public annually via polyclinics, schools, churches, workshops, doctor’s offices, business houses and the PAREDOS Resource Centre.

  •  Established a fund-raising Committee, chaired by Dr. A.C. Graham. * Opened a counselling centre for parents.

  • Opened the Bertie Graham Early Childhood Education unit, which houses its Day Care Centre for children ages 8 months -4 ½ years.

  • Conducted a "Family Crisis Hotline” for those persons who have been abused or are living in abusive conditions. More than 800 persons benefited from this programme. 

  • Produced a child rearing booklet series (Volume 1 -3) for parents, teachers and children.

  •  Produced two conflict resolution training videos. Developed a parent education and conflict management manual and handbook for youth workers. 

  • Trained over 3,000 parents, 800 teachers and 1,000 adolescents and children in conflict resolution, parenting, adolescent development/sexuality, gender and socialisation, rights of the child and health and family life. 

  • Conducted conflict resolution and parenting workshops in Antigua, Barbados, Bonaire, Curacao, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Eustacia, St. Vincent, St. Marteen, Trinidad and Jamaica. A total of thirty (30) workshops were conducted with over one thousand (1,000) persons (trainers, parents and children).
