DAY CARE CENTRE

 

 

General Objectives

  • To assist families to understand spiritual principles, make positive choices, and develop a relationship with God;
  • To play a more active role in advocacy for children and families;
  • To strengthen linkages among national and regional agencies involved in family support;
  • To enhance the operational/financial systems necessary to execute all programmes. Programme Objectives
  • Provide families, particularly "hard to reach" families in Barbados, with information and guidance on parenting, youth and gender issues, conflict management and other family related matters.
  • Deliver quality early childhood education and development (ECED) services to children 2 - 4 1/2 years of age and provide support and guidance to their parents.
  • Improve linkages between families, schools and other support services.
  • Provide additional programmes for men using a gender sensitive approach.
  • Strengthen advocacy efforts to influence policy with regard to family support. 

NURSERY

Children must:

  • be 3 months prior to admission
  • be immunized

Registration Fee $120.00 (Non-refundable)

 

HOURS AND FEES

Nursery:

Full-day (7:30 am - 3:00 pm)

Extended Day (3:00 - 5.00 pm)

Fees are payable on the 1st school day of each month.

 

SCHOLARSHIP

Two scholarships are offered annually.

 

DRESS CODE

All children are required to wear comfortable clothing.

 

Nursery: Girls & Boys

  • Clothing selected for infants should be simple and uncomplicated (few buttons, snaps, decorations, etc.).
  • Clothing to be worn may include chemises, jumpers, vests, shorts, summer dresses, etc.
  • Clothing should be made from a lightweight material (e.g. cotton).
